Steering Group
The Steering Group is the high-level decision-making body for the FRC project as a whole. This group consists of the project partners’ directors plus the Lead Partner. The Steering Group discusses strategic project management issues and overall project progress.
Coordination Group
The Coordination Group consists of representatives of all partners. It has the responsibility for decisions on coordination, for reaching the overall transnational project aims and meeting the objectives of the project. Each Coordination Group delegate is coordinator for the project activities that his organisation will execute. The Project Manager of the lead partner will be the chairman of the Coordination Group.
Stakeholder panels
Stakeholder Panels are established in each partner city and for each of the 3-P levels (politicians, professionals and public). The Panels consist of 5-10 thematic relevant stakeholders. The delegate in the Coordination Group is also chairmen of the Stakeholder Panels in his city (‘linking-pin’). The Stakeholder Panel for professionals consists of experts (internal or external) from the partner organisation on spatial planning and flood management.
Work package leaders
Each work package is guided by a coordinator who facilitates and monitors the progress of a detailed programme of activities. He/she also draws together the outputs from the different actions and sub-actions to form an integrated end-product. Partners involved in the same actions form sub-teams to jointly produce the planned outputs.
Financial Managers Group
Once a year the financial manager of the FRC project will organise a meeting with the financial managers of each partner. The controller of the Lead Partner will visit the financial manager of each partner during his random audits.
Overall project implementation and control
The Lead Partner (Programme Directorate ‘Room for the River’ of the Dutch Directorate General for Public Works and Water Management) is responsible for the overall project implementation and coordination, including financial administration, external communication and reporting to the Joint Technical Secretariat of the INTERREG IVB North West Europe Programme.
